Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up or register?

Our first step is identifying your learner’s needs in order to match them with the right teacher and schedule. Please fill out this form and we will contact you to do so! From there, you will be put in touch with the teacher directly.

How much does it cost?

Pricing varies based on teacher and subject. Please submit a new student request and we will contact you to discuss your learner’s needs, pricing and scheduling.

Do I need to sign a contract or is there a specific commitment?

No! We are here to support our students and their families in any way we can. We will absolutely accommodate any necessary changes as best as possible.

Are sessions held virtually or in person?

Sessions are held virtually or in person at local libraries based on scheduling availability and preference.

How long are the sessions?

Since all of our sessions are tailored to each student’s needs, the duration varies based on content and attention span. The average session time is 30-60 minutes.

How does scheduling work?

Each teacher sets their own schedule which determines availability.

Do you align with the school curriculum?

Yes. All of our teachers adhere to state standards for the corresponding grade level and the school’s curriculum to create a plan. We always remain focused on the skills that need to be addressed.

Do you work with 504 Plans/ IEP?

Yes. We have educators with many years of teaching experience with goals and also in helping write a 504 plan.

Do parents have to be involved in the sessions?

Since each session is tailored, it’s always an option but not necessary for parents to join.

Can I contact the teacher directly?

Absolutely! Your teacher will reach out directly once the schedule is set in order to open that line of communication.

How do you determine goals with students?

When possible, our teachers begin by taking an inventory of skills with their students. Although time-sensitive needs may not always allow for a full inventory, each teacher closely monitors the needs and skills of the students to ensure they are progressing.

What if the teacher is not a good match?

We want all of our students to succeed and will certainly make adjustments if needed.

When is payment due?

Payment is due at the beginning of each month in order to hold your session schedule. An invoice is sent at beginning of the month and can be paid via Check, Venmo, or Zelle.

What is the cancellation Policy?

We require a 24-hour notice for cancellation for both students and teachers.
